The back story: Last sunny Sunday as my kiddies loaded into the car after a birthday party near Gabriel Park in SW Portland they spotted a nice grassy hill covered in flowers. They begged to run up the hill to "see what's on the other side" and to roll back down. Of course, one hill wasn't enough so we scrambled up the adjacent hill. Whoa! We spied a beautiful, well-sculpted skateboard park on the other side. Lot's of kids zooming around the bowls, eh? My little dudes needed a closer look.
We were enthralled as the youngsters flew around (one guy looked like he was in his mid 30's with a bit of gray hair showing, but I still had 15 years on the guy).
